Yabby Lake | Little Collins

Yabby Lake Vineyard was established by the Kirby family in 1998, in Tuerong, which is located in the

northern part of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Over the past decade, the vineyard has built a

reputation for single vineyard chardonnay and pinot noir of great purity and character.

Led by winemaker Tom Carson, their philosophy is to craft wines that speak of the site and the season

in which they were grown. It’s the attention and care in the vineyard that is most critical to allowing this

expression.

Red Claw Pinot Gris

This Red Claw Pinot Gris has lovely freshness, lifted floral aromas and clean, fresh fruit flavours. Showing a hint of nashi pear, subtle spice and a long, finely textured palate.

Red Claw Chardonnay

Bright intense pale straw colour. Lifted aromas of clean citrus notes, stone fruit and a subtle hint of spicy French oak. A tightly focused palate, with lovely balance and a long, complex finish.

Characteristic perfumed, fragrant aromas highlighted by cherry and red fruits, complemented by a touch of spice and underlying French oak. The long, silky palate has lovely elegance and delicacy, a plush, velvety texture and a finely poised finish.

This pinot gris is refined and fresh, with bright fruit aromas and a lovely floral lift. Beautifully textured palate and delicious depth of fruit – with nashi pear and subtle spice. Seamless and refreshing, the wine finishes long and fine.

Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Chardonnay

The potential of this wine is apparent from the first time you look at it. The colour is super bright with green tints, the aromas are fresh, pure and intense. Grapefruit, citrus blossom and a hint of lime, with a lovely flinty note underlying. There is a nice layer of almond meal and cashew nut from the barrel fermentation. The palate is intense with layers of deeply textured and concentrated fruit. White stone fruit and pithy grapefruit weave through a tightly wound and piercingly intense mineral finish that goes on and on. Cellar for at least five years, the wine will go well past 10 years.

A bright and dense crimson colour. The aromas are intense and complex for a young wine - red fruits, raspberry, red currant with dark cherries, coupled with a floral and spicy note. The palate is super fine and silky with layers of flavour and texture leading to a long and bold finish. Cellar for at least five years, and preferably more than 10.
